Three students of Wa Technical Institute arrested for attacking housemaster

Police have detained three students from the Wa Technical Institute in the Upper West region’s Wa municipality after they allegedly attacked their housemaster.

The event, which happened on Tuesday, July 25, was made public after the school administration made a formal report about the teacher’s savage assault.

The housemaster was transported to the Wa Municipal Hospital for emergency medical care after suffering serious injuries.

According to reports, Ishmail Musah Froko, the housemaster, was conducting a routine monitoring visit when the attack occurred at the Wa Technical Institute’s house two block.

One student was detained during the incident for assaulting the housemaster, and two more were detained for assaulting a student who stepped in to protect the teacher who was being beaten.

Parents received assurances from the headmaster of the Wa Technical Institute that the issue was under control and that the school’s top priority was the protection of their children.

The evolution of their children’s behavior and conduct should be closely monitored by parents, he recommended.

For the sake of ongoing inquiries, the police have detained the three attackers who were students.
