WAEC cautions against sharing purported ‘confirmed topics’ on social media platforms

The public has been forewarned by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) over the spread of allegedly WAEC-confirmed test topics on social media sites.

The council was very explicit that they had neither sanctioned or endorsed any issues from any group or organization that had been confirmed during a news conference on August 2, 2023.

“The Council has been informed of the distribution of several purported ‘WAEC Confirmed Topics’ on social media. The general public must be aware that WAEC has neither approved nor endorsed any subjects from any group or organization that have been confirmed, the council said.

Due to this, WAEC has issued a warning to the general public advising them to use caution and to avoid joining or visiting any organizations or websites that encourage the dissemination of these supposedly confirmed issues.

The general public is now advised against visiting or registering with any such websites or groups that promote the distribution of these “WAEC Confirmed Topics.” Additionally, it is advised that they refrain from entering their mobile numbers on such websites, WAEC emphasized.
