Burna Boy beats Black Sherif to win Best African Act

The MTV Europe Music Awards are awards presented by Paramount International Networks to honour artists and music in pop culture.

It was originally conceived as an alternative to the MTV Video Music Awards, which are hosted annually in the United States.

Burna Boy beat Black Sherif (Ghana), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Black Sherif, Musa Keys (South Africa), and Zuchu (Tanzania) to win the Best African Act at the 2022 MTV European Music Awards, MTV EMAs held on held on 13 November 2022 at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany.
